Melayi Thindwa Foundation actively supports the youth in Chilbolya compound in Lusaka, Zambia. Mapili Academy is a soccer team of 76 orphans and vulnerable children.Some of these children are heading households. The team is coached by Mr Douglas Mwamba, a former Zambia National Soccer team player. Mr Mwamba once played for Brondby Soccer team in Denmark. Mapili Academy is registered in the Provincial Amateur league. The team has 3 groups; Under 14 years soccer team has (30 Children) Under 12 years soccer team has ( 20 children) Under 10 years soccer team has (26 children) These are orphaned and vulnerable children who needs your help and you can sponsor a child from this team.Only 6 of the above children receive help and support from a local lawyer, but together we can do more to help these children. These children have been engaged in soccer so that they do not go on the streets and lose direction into the outside world. Mapili academy is uniting these orphans so that they can stay in school and not on the streets for a better future. Melayi Thindwa Foundation Representatives, recently attended a fundraising soccer tournament at Reinhardt University, in Walenska, Georgia.
